As a Societies Executive Committee Member, you will support all UWS Students’ Union Societies by:

Ensuring the Students’ Union acts on ideas and issues raised at Societies Council meetings
Planning and coordinating joint society events and activities
Approving new society affiliations and society funding decisions

Requirements for the role include:

Attending 4 Societies Council Meetings throughout the academic year
Attending 4 Societies Executive Committee Meetings throughout the academic year
Attending any additional meetings decided by the Committee
Regular communication with societies to enable their engagement in events and activities
Specific roles for each member may be agreed upon by the Committee

You will be invited to attend an online induction where we will make sure you are confident and happy with what you will be doing in your role.

Understanding of students’ needs and challenges

Eager to work as part of a team

To prepare you for your role you will be invited to attend a Committee Induction session
