ROLE DESCRIPTION

Do you want to be part of a growing team as they look to expand the opening hours of the Oxfam shop in Lanark? From sorting donations, pricing them, displaying them and even listing those more unusual items online there really is something for everyone at Oxfam.

It's not all work though, there is plenty of tea/ coffee and cake/biscuits to keep you having fun with a fab community in the shop. Travel expenses? We'll pay them! Volunteering for more than five hours a day? Some lunch expenses will be paid!

ABOUT THIS ORGANISATION

Oxfam is a global community of people who believe in a kinder, and radically better world, where everyone has the power to thrive not just survive.

We believe we can overcome poverty by fighting the injustices and inequalities that fuel it.

WHAT COULD YOU GAIN?

Experience of working in a retail environment, cash handling, stock sorting, and customer service.Oxfam Online Shop also involves the full online retail experience, including photography, listing
and dispatching.

Supervisory roles are also available where you gain your PVG certificate and get that crucial experience of leading a team and managing the shop in the manager’s absence. (Excellent for the CV!)

Once you have volunteered with us for a few months you are then eligible to apply to be a festival volunteer for 2025 festivals… Glastonbury, Download are just two of the festivals we have presence at!
