ROLE DESCRIPTION

Group activities within the Centre and out in the community, Covid guidelines are adhered to at all times – facemasks must be wore while in the Centre at all times, unless exempt. There is hand sanitiser stations within the Centre to be used entering and leaving the building. Facemasks are requested to be wore on outings unless exempt, provision of hand sanitiser will be available at all times.

One to one befriending – Facemasks will be wore at all times while indoors unless exempt and hand sanitiser will be provided for the volunteers to use.

 

The Coronavirus position is rapidly changing, and this can be difficult to know that you are following the most up to date guidelines. We will try and share as much new information with carers/volunteers as possible; however, we recommend that carers/volunteers refer to local and national guidance, links are available on our website.

 

ABOUT THIS ORGANISATION

Renfrewshire Carers Centre is a one-stop shop for unpaid Carers operating in Renfrewshire for over 20 years. We are a charity established by Carers for Carers and have developed a range of services to support Carers in their caring role and provide opportunities to have a life outside of caring.  www.renfrewshirecarers.org.uk

 

WHAT COULD YOU GAIN?

Students will find Increased Confidence, improve communication skills, learn new skills, induction training will be given and further specific training to the volunteer role chosen such as, child/adult protection and first aid training.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Specific skills required are commitment, reliability, compassion, teamwork and a strong work ethic

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR STARTING THE ROLE

All volunteers are asked to complete an induction training, complete a volunteer application form, provide 2 character references, and complete an application to join PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.
