We are currently experiencing IT issues which may prevent you from being able to log in and join a society. All society email addresses are linked on their page. If you're interested in getting involved, please send them an email to ask for more details.

Joining a society is easy...

How to join:

• Have a look through the list of our societies
• Click on a logo for more information on that society
• Once you’re on a society page click Add to Basket to sign up (you need to sign in to the website with your student ID and password first)
• Some societies have a small joining fee. You can pay this as part of the sign up process

What this means:

• As a UWS student, you're welcome to join any of our societies. You can join as many as you like
• Joining a society does not been you are making any set commitments. It is simply an opportunity to meet other students with shared interests and experiences

What happens next:

• Once you've joined, send the society a quick email to introduce yourself. You can email them by clicking on the  logo at the top of the society’s page
• All our societies are run by students, on a voluntary basis, so don't worry if they don't respond immediately. They will get in touch as soon as they can
• Most society pages have links to social media contacts as well

Society Catergories:

You can use the filter option to list our societies in different categories. These categories give an overview of the current status of the society and what you can expect if you join:

• Fully Active: The society has an active committee and activities planned for you to join in with
• Developing: Students are in the process of establishing the society's plans for the year
• Restarting: The society has been previously active but requires new members who would like to take the lead on organising its activities
