Join us for the first event of the year as we officially welcome new and returning students into the UWS Law Society. Opening Night is an opportunity to meet the committee, discover what the Society has to offer, and learn how you can get involved throughout the year. Whether you are interested in advocacy, legal writing, careers, networking, professional development, or simply becoming part of a community of law students, this is where your journey with the Society begins. Come along, meet the other students, ask questions, and find out how the UWS Law Society can help you develop beyond the degree. The UWS Law Society is where future lawyers are built.

Join us for a walk around Paisley. This is your chance to get to know other students, see what's near your campus and enjoy some fresh air:

The Walk

Paisley town centre

Approx. distance: 2.3 miles (3.7km)

Approx. time: 1 hour

We'll meet outside the entrance to the Students' Union building (the big purple building on Storie Street), at 1.25pm on Monday 7th September.

We'll then return to the campus at about 2.30pm.

Meet the Council and other members of the Society at the Snug Bar where we can help you get set up with your own game table, whether you are the Game Master or one of their players, no matter your experience you're welcome to come along, even just to sit and watch, We're really keen to start new tables, so if you want to be a Game Master regardless of experience you're encouraged to come along and start a campaign.
